What to Expect on Your Home Details Appointment

As an organization that puts customers first, Home Details would be going against our convictions and your comfort if we did not offer you the details you need to know about how our services work from start to finish. That is why we have created a list of what you can anticipate on the day of your appointment. We will begin with the general things you should expect from us.

What you Should Expect on your Home Details Appointment

  • We will park our vehicle in front of your property on the street as to not leak oil in your driveway from our vehicle.
  • We will arrive around the time set for your appointment. If we are running early or late then you will receive an estimated time of arrival text from us.
  • We will show up the front door with a mask.
  • We will wear shoe covers if we need to go inside of your home (i.e., for interior window cleaning).
  • We will do the task and get paid at the end of the appointment once we verify that you are satisfied and have had a chance to troubleshoot anything if needed.

Additionally, we will now detail what you can anticipate from us for each of the services we offer.

Gutter Cleaning Appointments:

Scope of work: your entire home

If you have debris on your roof, debris under your gutter guards, or if you want us to clean from a ladder, your task can be done for 69 base + 129 per hour. Roof cleaning is separate from gutter cleaning. Cleaning under gutter guards or from a ladder is calculated at the rate above with a minimum of the number in parentheses for the service tier that you select.

For homes with an aluminum patio cover with gutters, we will clean one arm’s length in each direction of the downspout(s). For homes with an aluminum patio cover with gutters or solar panels, we may not be able to safely access certain sections of gutters. However, we will clean as much as we can access safely.

Regardless of the service tier that you select, we will clean up 90+% of the debris that results from cleaning your gutters. In the process of cleaning your gutters, some windows may get dirty or wet.

Your technician will let you know after the service is complete if there are any areas of concern. There are very likely going to be roof tiles that have imperfections like cracks. Cracked tiles are normal, nearly every home with a tile roof has multiple in this condition. These occurrences are not caused by our equipment. We are not responsible for damages that result from the process of completing your appointment such as cracked tiles, clogged drainage, or damaged items that were not moved before our appointment.

To prepare for your gutter cleaning appointment, please do the following:

  • Move any items that may be in the way of getting your gutter cleaning done
  • Do not park in the driveway
  • Close all windows
  • Unlock the side gate

Window Cleaning Appointments:

Scope of work: Your base home model with no additions (ie- sun room, attached or detached casita, or any other structure that has windows).

Your technician will let you know after the service is complete if there are any areas of concern. There are very likely going to be windows that have imperfections such as broken window seals, damaged window screens, or hard water spots that are difficult to notice until after your window cleaning service is completed. Broken window seals are a manufacturing issue that are often covered by the warranty. Damaged window screens are often a result of weathering or window screens that are too tight. Hard water spots are caused by minerals that are dissolved in water which stain the glass over repeated exposure which is exactly how a glass shower door gets stained over time. These occurrences are not caused by our equipment. We are not responsible for damages that result from the process of completing your appointment such as foggy windows, bent or punctured window screens, stained glass, cracked tiles, or damaged items that were not moved before our appointment. There is no guarantee that we will be able to remove non-organic materials (paint, stickers, hard water spots, etc) from your windows but we will try our best.

No matter which option best fits your situation, you have our Home Details “Top Rung” Guarantee: If you are not happy with any service, we will address it. If we can not address it to your satisfaction, we will pay a competitor to address it.

This quote is valid for the next 30 days, after which values may be subject to change.

To prepare for your window cleaning appointment, please do the following:

  • Move any furniture or items that may be in the way of getting your window cleaning done
  • Do not park in the driveway
  • Take window screens off
  • Close and lock all windows
  • Unlock the side gate

Solar Panel Cleaning Appointments:

Scope of work: Your solar array up to the number of solar panels explained above.

Your technician will let you know after the service is complete if there are any areas of concern. There are very likely going to be solar panels or roof tiles that have imperfections such as hard water spots or cracks. Hard water spots are caused by minerals that are dissolved in water which stain the glass over repeated exposure which is exactly how a glass shower door gets stained over time. Cracked tiles are normal, nearly every home with a tile roof has multiple in this condition. These occurrences are not caused by our equipment. We are not responsible for damages that result from the process of completing your appointment such as stained glass, cracked tiles, or damaged items that were not moved before our appointment. There is no guarantee that we will be able to remove non-organic materials (ie- hard water spots) from your solar panels but we will try our best.

To prepare for your solar panel cleaning appointment, please do the following:

  • Turn off your solar system
  • Do not park in the driveway
  • Unlock the side gate

Christmas Lighting Appointments:

Scope of work: Front of your home along the gutters, up and down the peaks (if applicable), and a few feet around each corner.

“First Rung“ Christmas lighting service is required for all tiers to protect the equipment, unless your home already has cup hooks.

Your technician will let you know after the service is complete if there are any areas of concern. There are very likely going to be roof tiles that have imperfections like cracks. Cracked tiles are normal, nearly every home with a tile roof has multiple in this condition. These occurrences are not caused by our equipment. We are not responsible for damages that result from the process of completing your appointment such as cracked tiles or damaged items that were not moved before our appointment.

  • Have any extension cords, timers, and clips (if applicable) ready to use If we have to retrieve or put back any of the equipment, we will charge 69 base + 129/hour.
