[Home Details] were on time (early even) and both [gutter cleaning technicians] went right to work on their respective tasks of gutter cleaning and window cleaning. I was pleased with not only the quality of their service but also the congeniality of these young men. I highly recommend them. They are my ‘Home Heroes’!
Chris showed up right on time – to the minute. He took the time and explained what I could expect with their window washing service. My windows look great. I’m looking forward to [Home Details] making my home beautiful this Christmas with their Christmas lights service. I highly recommend [Home Details]
I was very impressed with Chris’ responsiveness and professionalism! He responded quickly to my inquiry, quickly assessed he situation and provided a reasonable price-range for the service I requested. Nice guy working on growing his business!
I am glad I used [Home Details] to help clean my gutters and install my Christmas lights. My husband is getting older and I don’t want him to climb ladders anymore. I felt secure in hiring [Home Details] knowing that they have a $1 million general liability insurance policy and workers’ compensation insurance. Even more than providing me with a sense of security, they did a wonderful job helping my husband and I.
Chris really impressed me with his professionalism and his businesslike approach to gutter cleaning. He arrived with a mask on which I appreciated, and took his time to thoroughly clean our gutters. Then he cleaned up thoroughly after himself before leaving. Our job was very difficult because we have miles and miles of gutters it seems, and they were full of olives and olive leaves. Not an easy job. I would definately recommend him. His specialty is over 55 senior communities, but he was willing to do our home and did a great job.
We just had our windows done by [Home Details] and WOW! What a difference! Chris was professional, thorough, and did an exceptional job. He practiced social distancing and wore a mask the entire time he was in our home. I was impressed with the fact that they use a special filtration system so you don’t get calcium or hard water spots on your windows. 5 stars from me!
I’ve worked with Chris, the owner of [Home Details], and I can highly recommend him and his company. He is honest, hardworking, and eager to help.
As a Realtor I only want to work with the best of the best – look no further, [Home Details] are the best! Thorough job and great customer service.
We start our first appointment of the day between 7:30-8:30 am, usually at 8 am.
We finish before or near sunset when it is too dark to continue safely.
We love dogs. We even keep bones in our trucks to give to dogs we meet, aslong as the owner says it is okay. To keep your dog safe, please keep your dog inside as most services we do require opening the side gate.
We are hiring for 2 roles: Sales & Marketing Associate and Field Service Technician. If you are interested in a position, please contact Chris Anderson at (916) 380-8333 or email us at Office@HomeDetailServices.com
We have been safely doing home services since 2015.
The cost of each service is based on several factors including what service is being done, if we have to use a ladder for the task, the number of stories the building is that we are servicing, the number of helpers that are needed to do the task, the home model we are servicing (for residents in 55+ active living retirement communities), the linear feet of gutters that are being cleaned (for gutter cleaning), the number of window panes that are being cleaned (for window cleaning), the number of solar panels that are being cleaned (for solar panel cleaning), the linear feet of Christmas lights that are being installed and removed (for Christmas lights), and the distance we have to drive to do the task.
The best ways to support us is to hire us to do your home services, refer us to your friends and neighbors who need a hand, refer us to your realtor, landlord, property manager who need a trustworthy company to call on, or leave us a review on Google, Nextdoor, Facebook, or Yelp.
Our core services (gutter cleaning, window cleaning, solar panel cleaning, or Christmas lights) are quoted at a flat rate. Additional services are quoted for a base service call fee + an hourly rate.
Hourly rates vary depending on if the task is a ladder-related odd job, non-ladder-related odd job, or yard work task.
The first part of getting your task done will be when the technician knocks at your door. They will introduce themselves, confirm what task they are doing, ask if you can keep your pets inside if you have them, and they will get to work. If they have questions, they will ask and clarify. Once the task is done, they will provide you with a few materials like extra business cards incase your neighbors or friends need a hand with a task. They will show you their work with pictures of your clean gutters or solar panels. Before we get paid, they will make sure you are happy with how your appointment went. Whatever your task is, we would love to help you with it!
Provide the following info to (916) 500-4314 or Office@HomeDetailServices.com and we will respond with your 3 options for gutter cleaning: What is your first name, last name, and email? What is your address? What is your home model? Do you have gutter guards? Do you have a patio cover with gutters or any additional rooms that have gutters, like a casita or a sun room, or is it the base home model? Do weekdays or weekends work best for you?
What is your first name, last name, and email? What is your address? Do you have gutter guards? Do you have a patio cover with gutters? Is your home a single story or two story home? What is your home’s square footage? Do you have a picture of your home (it will assist in the quoting process)? Do weekdays or weekends work best for you?
As professionals, we will do a much more thorough job cleaning gutters as a homeowner would. We will even take pictures of our work so that we can provide you with a summary of how dirty your gutters were and any problem areas we saw. Even more importantly, we will do it safely so you don’t have to take any risks by climbing ladders or getting on your roof. If you need to get your gutters cleaned professionally, we would love to help!
By default, if the roof is safely walkable, we work from the roof to limit ladder exposure since most home service workplace injuries are from ladders. If the roof is not safely walkable, we work from a ladder. Doing gutter cleaning since 2015, we know from experience that this is the safest way to get your gutters cleaned.
For your gutter cleaning appointment, we scoop the debris out of your gutters into a bucket and dispose the debris into your yard waste can.
The most popular time of the year to clean gutters is during the Fall and Winter. For the best value, if you or your neighbors have leaves that fall on your property, wait until the leaves fall. For most homes, this will happen sometime around November. Gutter cleaning season will continue during the rainy season until around March. For gutter cleaning, we encourage homeowners to be proactive about cleaning. Get your guters cleaned at the beginning of the season to ensure your gutters are good to go for the rain. For homes with multiple trees, it might be wise to clean them again in the following months to ensure your gutters are draining properly throughout the rainy season. Whenever you would like to get your gutters cleaned, we would love to help you!
Most homes should clean do gutter cleaning once per year after the leaves fall around October-February. If your home is exposed to multiple trees, especially larger ones, you may benefit from more frequent gutter cleanings (semi-annual, tri-annual, or quarterly). All homes should have their gutters cleaned. Neglecting to clean your gutters exposes your home to damage from foundation issues to dry rot to the complete collapse of your gutters. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, especially in the case of your protecting the functionality of your gutter system.
Most gutter cleaning appointments will be completed in 1-4 hours.
After every gutter cleaning appointment, we review pictures of what the gutters look like with the customer. We will notify you if we encountered anything of concern (ie- a clogged downspout, tree roots growing into the underground drainage, broken roof tiles, damage such as dry rot, etc) or if your gutters are functioning as they should be. After we finish your gutter cleaning, you’ll find any debris we removed from your gutters in your yard waste can so you can see exactly what we removed from your gutters.
Chris [the Owner of Home Details] washed our windows and cleaned our gutters…and more than we asked for. He was conscientious, punctual, and did a very, very thorough job. [Their help is] worth every penny.
To prepare for your gutter cleaning appointment, please do the following: -Move any items that may be in the way of getting your gutter cleaning done -Do not park in the driveway -Close all windows -Unlock the side gate
We have done hundreds of gutter cleaning appointments since starting the business in 2015. We primarily do single story gutter cleaning but as long as we are able to clean 2nd story gutters, we will do that as well.

We primarily do single story gutter cleaning. We can clean gutters up to 2 stories high.
Older gutters, or gutters that are clogged, have gutter joints/seems that can leak, resulting in an area where drips accumulate, and moss can grow.
Moss grow on the north side of roofs because it gets the adequate amount of shade, moisture, and sunlight. Moss can be removed but it is a matter of time until it grows back. Every roof has moss because every house has a roof on the north side of the home.
Yes, we can remove debris (moss, leaves, small tree limbs, pine needles, etc) from your roof. The debris will be disposed of via your yard waste can.
We use loppers to trim smaller limbs when they are overhanging the roof. If your tree has larger limbs, it is best to use a professional arborist who can safely remove the limbs while keeping the health of the tree intact.
If your underground drainage is blocked, it is going to require a rooter company or plumber. However, more frequently, either the top of your gutter downspout or the gutter downspout itself is clogged. Make sure to try to fix these potential issues before assuming your underground drainage is clogged.
If your underground drainage is blocked, it is going to require a rooter company or plumber. Tree roots can grow into the underground drainage as the roots will grow towards any source of water, which is exactly what the underground drainage is. Alternatively, large amounts of gutter debris can clog underground drainage from draining properly.
Gutter downspouts can be clogged by different types of debris. Moss, roof runoff (“roof sand”), leaves, or a mixture of all of the above clog people’s gutters. When gutters clog, water accumulates in the gutter, filling the gutters to the top with water. Once the water fills the gutter, it starts to overflow over the gutters.

The debris that is removed from your gutters or off of your roof is disposed of via your yard waste can. Alternatively, we can dispose of the debris by taking it to another debris disposal site.
Yes, we have all of the equipment to clean your gutters thoroughly and safely.
We use safety equipment including a helmet, fall protection equipment including a harness & lanyard, a ladder with a ladder stabilizer, a bucket to scoop and remove debris from your gutters, and a hose to test your gutter downspouts.
We would not recommend installing gutters guards on your home. The quality of gutter guards varies so much. Gutter guards fall short for various reasons, the mesh kind gets clogged by granules that plug the mesh and become useless overtime and gutter guards with very wide gaps allow everythig through which plugs your gutters unde the guards up with debris. We offer a product, the Gutter Stick downspout filter, which is a far superior solution than gutter guards. Why the Gutter Stick is so ingenious is it is the best design for a gutter guard with small holes for water to drain into. Most importantly, the Gutter Stick downspout filter is concentrated on the most important part of your gutter, your downspout which is the one component that drains water out of the gutter. If you are considering gutter guards, we would love to give you a second opinion before you spend upwards of thousands of dollars on a product that overpromises and underdelivers.
The cost of gutter cleaning is based on several factors including the number of stories the building is that we are servicing, the number of helpers that are needed to do the task, the home model we are servicing (for residents in 55+ active living retirement communities), the linear feet of gutters that are being cleaned, if the building has gutter guards or not, the number of downspout filters that are being installed, and the distance we have to drive to do the task.

As professionals, we will do a much more thorough job cleaning windows as a homeowner would. Using your hose or Windex to clean your windows will help but your windows will never look as clean as they would if we cleaned them with our professional-grade tools. Further, we will get the job done in a much more timely manner than you would if you tried to clean them as thoroughly as we will. We will even take a walkaround with you to show our work and give you a chance to double-check our work to ensure that you are satisfied. A pure water window cleaning system takes in your hose water, filters out the dissolved solids that would leave hard water spots via a waste hose, uses a brush to rub dirt off of the glass, and rinses the window with pure H2O, leaving your windows without hard water spots or squeegee streaks.
Using a pure water window cleaning system allows us to wash the outside window frames in addition to leaving your window glass spotless. Further, investing in water-fed pole technology allows us to clean windows up to 7 stories from the safety of the ground.
The water will evaporate and leave your windows looking clear after your window cleaning appointment.
An example of hard water spots are those little white circles on your glass shower door. Hard water spots result because of dissolved solids like minerals, fluoride, calcium, chlorine, etc that are dissolved in water. When the water evaporates, those dissolved solids are left behind as hard water spots. Fortunately, the water purification technology we use for window cleaning filters out the dissolved solids in the water we clean with, eliminating the possibility of leaving hard water spots, leaving your windows spotless.
Foggy windows are the result of a broken window seal. When we do your window cleaning, we will identify if any of your windows have a broken seal and will notify you if that is the case. Primarily, a foggy window is an eyesore since it blocks your beautiful view. If you are the original homeowner or had the window that turned foggy installed less than X number of years ago, it may be covered under your warranty. If you have a foggy window, call your window company to see if they will replace it. Doing so may save you thousands in window replacement costs.
The most popular time of the year to clean windows is during the Spring and Summer. Most homeowners want to get their windows cleaned after the rainy season is done or before the rainy season starts. That means the most popular times to clean windows start around April, peaks in the Summer around June and July, and continues into August. It can also be a great value to clean your windows after the fire season when there is a bunch of ash and dust on your windows and bug screens. Whenever you would like to get your windows cleaned, we would love to help you!
Doing exterior window cleaning twice per year will make your windows look beautiful year round. If you live in an area with construction occurring, your windows will look better with more frequent exterior window cleanings (tri-annual or quarterly). Your exterior windows are going to accumulate the large majority of the dirt so you can get away with cleaning your interior windows less frequently than twice per year. Unless your kids leave fingerprints or your dog leaves nose marks, you should be able to have beautiful windows with only a once-a-year interior window cleaning.
Most window cleaning appointments will be completed in 1-8 hours.
Heads up this great neighborhood business. [Home Details] showed up on time and was very efficient. A windowpane is one piece of glass. That means a window with a track where one side moves back and forth while one side is stationary is usually made up of 2 window panes.
You are welcome to remove your screens before we clean your windows. However, all of our window cleaning quotes include removing and reinstalling your window screens.

We invested in a professional-level window screen cleaning machine that uses brushes and water to perfectly clean your window screens. The end result of using this process is window screens that are far cleaner than any other window cleaner could produce with the standard process of cleaning window screens with a rag.
Yes, we have all of the equipment to clean your windows thoroughly and safely.
We use safety equipment including a helmet, fall protection equipment including a harness & lanyard, a ladder with a ladder stabilizer, a hose to access the water, a water purification system to use only pure water to clean your exterior windows, professional traditional window cleaning tools, and towels to clean your interior windows, and a window screen cleaning machine with brushes to make sure your window screens are cleaner than other window cleaners could possibly do with a traditional rag.
On the exterior of your windows, we will use a brush to agitate the dirt off of your windows and pure water to rinse them clean. It is like erasing all of the dirt, bird poop, and weathered frame residue off of your windows. On your interior windows, we will use a mixture of purified water, cleaning vinegar, and soap.

If you live in the City of Roseville and have Roseville electric, cleaning your solar panels won’t always make financial since Roseville Electric has the lowest electric rates in the entire state of California. However, California has some of the highest electric rates in the entire USA. So if you have another electric utility provider, especially PG&E, doing solar panel cleaning will almost always make financial sense.
Waiting for the rain to come to clean your solar panels will help but your solar panels will never be as clean as they would if we cleaned them with our professional grade tools. The best example of this is washing your car. Just having your car sit in the rain will never fully wash your vehicle. What really cleans your vehicle is aggetating the dirt with a sponge and rinsing the dirt off with water. With our professional tools, we will clean your solar panels much more thoroughly than just rain would. If you need to get your solar panels cleaned professionally, we would love to help!

Those hard water spots stain your solar panels, affecting the amount of power they can generate. With our professional tools, we will clean your solar panels much more thoroughly than spraying it with a hose would. Most solar panel cleaning appointments will be completed in 1-2 hours.
I highly recommend [Home Details]! Chris [the Owner of Home Details] came to my house yesterday to clean my solar panels as well as all of my windows (inside and out), including the screens. With the package I paid for he also cleaned the bathroom mirrors and dusted all of the ceiling fans. He did a fantastic job and is very professional. If you are looking for window or solar panel cleaning, call him!
To prepare for your solar panel cleaning appointment, please do the following: -Turn off your solar system -Do not park in the driveway -Unlock the side gate

Yes, we provide multiple service tier options to best fit your situation. We can either use our Christmas lights or your Christmas lights. You will have a few different options of styles of lights you can choose from.
Cup hooks are what the Christmas lights attach to when Home Details does your Christmas light installation. Cup hooks can usually attach to the wooden facia near your gutters in a way where they can not be seen from the street, unlike plastic gutter clips.
Most Christmas lighting installation appointments will be completed in 1.5-6 hours. Most Christmas light removal appointments are completed in 1-2 hours.
Customers start booking Christmas lighting appointments in October. Christmas lighting installation starts in November. Since most people wait to install their Christmas lights until after Thanksgiving, you are more likely to get your Christmas lights installed if you have an appointment before November 27.
We get completely booked during the weeks after Thanksgiving to install Christmas lights. The earlier you book, the more likely we can install your Christmas lights. Some HOAs like Sun City Lincoln Hills have a rule of thumb of installing Christmas lights anytime after November 15th.
Payment is collected after we have installed your Christmas lights. Coming back to remove them is included in the original payment so nothing is due upon Christmas light removal.
I had [Home Details] at my home today installing Christmas lights. I must say I was totally impressed with Chris [the Owner of Home Details], he was polite on time. He is a great guy that does a great job, I highly recommend him.
To prepare for your Christmas light appointment, please do the following: -Move any items that may be in the way of getting your Christmas lights done -Take out any lights from storage -Lay the lights outside below where you want them to be hung -Have any extension cords, timers, and clips (if applicable) ready to use If we have to retrieve or put back any of the equipment, we will charge 29 base + 89/hour.

Yes, we have all of the equipment to install Christmas lights for you safely. We can either install the equipment that we provide or install the equipment you provide for us.
We use safety equipment including a helmet, fall protection equipment including a harness & lanyard, a ladder with a ladder stabilizer, light sensing timers to turn on the Christmas lights once it gets dark, commercial grade Christmas lights, extension cords to plug in the lights, and tie wraps to hide the cords.
The cup hooks will be installed in such a way where they are not obviously visible. They can usually be screwed into the inside of the wooden facia board near the gutters and going up the peaks of the home. Installing permanent cup hooks is a more discrete way of attaching Christmas lights to your home than using plastic clips?

This year, we have invested in commercial grade lights. This new investment upgrades our current selection and provides a wider array of colors of lights. We have colors including clear, white, red, green, blue, and multicolor. Our commercial grade lights will even provide you with the ability to customize the pattern of the lights so you can have your choice of how your lights will look. Our new-and-improved selection of lights also comes with a promise that we will fix any issues you are having with the equipment. Besides our 4 primary services (gutter cleaning, window cleaning, solar panel cleaning, and Christmas lights), we can also do services such as replacing air filters & smoke alarm batteries, mirror cleaning, ceiling fan cleaning, shutter & blind cleaning, siding cleaning, dump runs, moving items, custom outdoor lighting, and yard work (weeding, trimming, blowing, hedging, raking). In general, as long as our insurance covers the task and we can perform the task safely and efficiently, we will try to help.
A few services outside of our line of scope are handyman-type tasks such as plumbing, electrical, pressure washing, house washing, roof washing, dryer vent cleaning, or repairing fences. Our insurance also does not cover tree trimming, call an arborist for tree care instead. Pool or pond cleaning can be done by a pool cleaning company. We cannot perform pest control as specific licenses are required for that task. To protect our health, we do not spray weeds. to protect our safety, even though we use fall protection equipment, we do not perform tasks above 2 stories. We do not have the equipment for lawnmowing, contact a landscaper instead. Long distance moving is going to require a moving company. In-home care should be done by a caretaker or in-home care company. House cleaning should be performed by a maid, house cleaning, or in-home care company.
We plan on adding services such as pressure washing, house washing, roof washing, and dryer vent cleaning in the future.

Home Details was started by a then college freshman, Chris Anderson, as a way to pay for his college education. Although he, and other Home Details employees and interns have attended or currently attend local colleges and universities, we are not directly involved with any of these schools.
We specialize in tasks that are related to home maintenance which require a ladder like gutter cleaning, window cleaning, solar panel cleaning, and Christmas lights.
We can usually book an appointment within one or two weeks. Christmas light appointents are encouraged to schedule earlier than later as it is our busiest time of the year.
We will reply with a quote as soon as we can. Usually, a quote is delivered the same day.
Quotes are given remotely after a few pieces of info in regard to the service we are going to be doing are collected. Quotes are either delivered via text or email so you can read the description of your service options.
